The Ambush Golf Club at Lajitas sustained heavy damage from the recent record level floodwaters of the Rio Grande. All but one of the golf holes were under water when the river was at its crest. The course is closed for repairs and is not scheduled to reopen until March of next year.

The Tom Skipper Memorial Terlingua World Championship hopes to return to the Ambush Golf Club at Lajitas for its 24th annual whooptydo on Friday - November 6, 2009.

The tournment will be held as usual with the following exceptions:
Individual entrants pay fees directly to golf course - all entry fee checks received by mail will be voided. Food - Yes, Beverages - ?, Prizes - No, Fun - up to the participants.

Emergency 9 or 18 at Big Bend Resort GC on Friday 31-Oct-2008.

Here we go again for the 23rd time . . . some unanticipated hiccups this year, but too many folks have too much fun to not have a Tom Skipper Memorial Terlingua World Championship Golf Shoot-Out in 2008.
So show up for the fun at one or both of the tournaments in the tradition of World Championships past. A time to howdy, shake and catch up with your fellow Terlingua World Champions.
